I’ve always had a love for carpentry and while attending college I did several remodeling projects for people as a way to pay tuition. After college I spent 5 years building chicken coops for Golden Plump of Arcadia, WI, eventually leaving to work with the International program at SMU in Winona, MN. In 2004 I was hired as Athletic Director at Wabasha-Kellogg High school where I’ve moved to my current position in buildings and grounds.
Throughout the years I’ve noticed how much potential art has been tossed to the curb. Dressers, headboards, windows and doors all hauled to the landfill without being recycled into a piece of art in someone’s home or cabin. Thankfully this idea caught on and now we see thousands of unique pieces around the country, often created by home DYI’ers who take an idea and run with it.
All of my creations are from recycled furniture, reclaimed wood and homemade chalk paints. I offer furniture repair and will take your items to create something you’ll be proud to have in your entry way, porch or office.
